My inspiration and challenge is integrating color, architectural details, and the landscape. My goal is to transform a living space into an area that reveals traditional details paired with contemporary sleekness for a stylish yet comfortable place to call home. The first thing I do when evaluating a space is look outdoors to determine how to bring the outside in. The living room has always been my favorite room to design and entertain in. This room is a contemporary rendition of a living room with a classical twist in combination with a strong complementary color scheme of oranges and blues. These vibrant colors are grounded by crisp white accents, rich gray walls, and dark woods with varying textures. The living room is where you entertain, so why not add a little elegance paired with a fun fabric print and dazzling drum light fixture? The tight-back sofa has a rolled edge that your eye can gracefully follow, while the deep blue wingback chair has a clean and sleek silhouette with curved hardwood legs and nailhead trim. Cattail moss balls are a great way to bring the outside in. The painting is an abstract landscape that reveals strong accents of color similar to my color scheme.
