Rob Bramhall Architects is working with Sunday River Real Estate on a unique development of 14 small luxury cabins to be located in the Village off the Green on the Sunday River Golf Club course. This new niche offering of “glamping”-style units is designed for moun- tain lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who want to spend days enjoying North Country living in a maintenance-free setting. The architecture is simple and mountain inspired, with rustic board-and-batten vertical siding, Cor-Ten corrugated steel roofing accents, and tall, overscaled windows that frame the views. On its main floor, each cabin includes an open kitchen/ dining/living space with fireplace, as well as an owners’ suite and laundry area. An upper level holds a second en-suite bed- room, while the basement provides a place for overflow, with a family room and third en-suite bedroom option. Each cabin features some kind of outdoor living space: a covered porch, wraparound deck, or, where the grade allows, a landscaped terrace.
