This project will, without a doubt, be a landmark on one of Maine’s best-kept-secret lakes. On a small island setting, out on a peninsula, this home is designed by Joe Delaney of Whipple | Callender Architects. It will take shape with the help of local builder Joshua Gregoire, and crew foreman James Hamper of Bartow Construction. With 1,000 feet of lake frontage, the home sets to three shorelines and has visibility of Thompson Lake throughout. Large windows span across the lakeside of the home to bring views of the outside in, and the attached garage gives easy access throughout the year. With six bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms it gives the family space to gather and enjoy the property yearround. Another interesting feature of the property are the massive boulders along the water line from glacial remains brings history to the site. To complement this and create an outdoor-indoor relationship, the lake room will feature a large stone fireplace, built by Heath Custom Stone Works.

The structural integrity of the home has been designed by Casco Bay Engineering and will encompass a variety of steel, laminated lumber, and kiln dried lumber to achieve long window spans and an open first floor concept. Hancock Lumber is providing materials for the project.

Teresa Pereira of Richardson and Associates is working to design the exterior, which includes an outdoor kitchen, terrace, and many other landscaping details. Tammy Gamache of Gamache Landscaping will be making the exterior design a reality.
