Warming Trend
When there’s a riot of color outside, it’s only natural to want to bring some of those bold fall tones indoors. To create a seasonally sensitive look like the one featured in Inson Dubois Wood: Interiors, start with a base palette of white and cream and work in accents of copper and rust. A distressed farm table, pleated pendants, and a nubby rug cozy up the space with rich texture while accessories including a red- apple decorative dish, turned wooden bowl, and local flower arrangement (styled in vintage bottles found in a farm field by Cape Elizabeth florist Susan Betz) bring visceral warmth. Even Timothy Powers Wilson’s gauzy nude appears toasty in her burnt orange tones.
