Classic Eclectic

This Space, This Way:

Designer Tracy A. Davis completely gutted this space, then designed the layout for a study based on the footprint and the abundance of daylight that floods through the windows. “We also created a crisp color palette, ultimately designing a room that offers a glimpse into the homeowner’s personality,” she says.

Signature Style:

“I love contrasting classic design elements with eclectic objects. In this case, industrial and mid-century modern styles are balanced with art and antiques.”

Trick of the Trade:

“One of my techniques is to employ a color palette or a value of color that is light-reflective and apply it to both walls and ceiling. This is particularly useful for intimate spaces, creating the illusion of volume. Walls and ceiling are then grounded with a complementary floor finish.”
