American realist painter BO BARTLETT, who summers and paints on Wheaton Island, will have a solo show at the Ameringer McEnery Yohe gallery in New York City. The exhibition runs from July 7 to August 12. Bartlett is also included in Rockwell and Realism in an Abstract World, which runs until October 30 at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
MARVIN DESIGN GALLERY BY ELDREDGE LUMBER in Portland has been recognized with a President Club award from Marvin Windows and Doors for outstanding achievement in sales and business development. Eldredge was one of only 26 Marvin dealers in the United States to receive the distinction.
DAVID C. DRISKELL, distinguished artist and professor emeritus of art at the University of Maryland, has received this year’s Lifetime Legacy Award from the SKOWHEGAN SCHOOL OF PAINTING AND SCULPTURE. Driskell attended the summer residency program for emerging visual artists in Skowhegan in 1953 and later served as a faculty member. He was presented with the award at the school’s 70th anniversary gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York.
PHI HOME DESIGNS in Rockport and COLD MOUNTAIN BUILDERS in Belfast have each teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to build a new home for a qualifying family
in Rockland. Located side by side, the houses were built through Habitat’s Home Builders Blitz program, which tasks contractors to complete the construction within one week.
