On July 11 BACKCOVEYACHTS launched their newest model, the Downeast 37. The yacht features a 12- by 12-foot cockpit with a SureShade cover and a cabin with interior designs by Herreshoff. Of course, speed is equally important as style, especially in a ship: the Downeast 37 is capable of cruising at 20 knots and has a top speed of 25 knots. backcoveyachts.com

COMPANYC, the Maine-based design studio and home furnishings shop, welcomes a new line of products this autumn. Like many of their textiles, the fall collection is bright and colorful, taking inspiration from the sea for their many-hued prints. Bringing together shades of blue from cyan to cobalt alongside vivid splashes of green, the patterns evoke scenes of the Maine shore.
