Sixty artists and craftspeople will show their work at the ART & FINE CRAFTS SHOW AT THE GILSLAND FARM AUDUBON CENTER in Falmouth. The sanctuary, maintained by the Maine Audubon Society, features an apple orchard and groomed trails through open fields and woodlands. The show and sale will be held on August 20 and 21.

In an effort to engage local communities with art, the SCHOODIC INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM selects local and international artists for its six-week artist-in-residence program starting August 2. The finished works, made from Maine granite, will ultimately find homes in communities in Hancock and Washington counties.

Artist BARBARA ERNST PREY’s annual exhibition Open Spaces will commemorate Blue Water Fine Arts’ tenth year in Maine. The show runs through August 28. The exhibition showcases Prey’s signature paintings of Maine and includes paintings from the artist’s 9/11 series and from her recent Paris retrospective.
