Portland-based lecture series Architalx has announced its lineup for the 2011 season. This year’s selection of designers includes architects ALAN ORGANSCHI and THOMAS CHRISTOFFERSEN, landscape architects Anouk Vogel and Diana Balmori, and director of the Rural Studio at Auburn University Andrew Freear. Lectures take place at the Portland Museum of Art. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Watercolorist SCOTT KELLEY of Peaks Island has two pieces in Carolyne Roehm’s new book A Passion for Interiors, and painter ABBEY RYAN has a full-page article about her and her work in the February issue of O, the Oprah Magazine.

In celebration of Maine’s ongoing role in American art, the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland awards an annual Maine in America Award to honor an individual or group within the Maine art community. This year’s award will be presented to landscape photographer PAUL CAPONIGRO on June 25, during the museum’s Summer Gala.
