John Silverio: Living Geometry will run through January 11 at the UNITY COLLEGE Leonard R. Craig Gallery. Architect John Silverio’s recent works are inspired by roof and pyramid forms. These shapes provide him with an outlet to examine form, shadow, and color. The exhibition comprises both paintings and drawings that employ the Fibonacci series and the golden mean.

THE PORTLAND MUSEUM OF ART will host an evening with Lois Dodd and art critic Karen Wilkin on January 16. Dodd was a key member of New York’s postwar art scene and part of the wave of New York modernists who explored the coast of Maine in the latter half of the 20th century. Wilkin, a regular contributor to the New Criterion, Art in America, and the Wall Street Journal, will join Dodd. The two will discuss the evolution of the art scene in New York and Maine and the ways the two locations continue to inspire artists. Afterward, PMA members are invited to join the opening celebration for the retrospective exhibition Lois Dodd: Catching the Light.
