Color Splash

Mary Barnes received her bachelor of arts degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, a bachelor of fine arts degree from Pacific Northwest College in Portland, Oregon, and a master of fine arts degree from New York City’s Columbia University. She has exhibited her work in solo and juried shows at venues such as Elizabeth Moss Galleries in Falmouth, the Turtle Gallery in Deer Isle, Artemis Gallery in Northeast Harbor, and Ten High Street in Camden. For many years she taught art at educational institutions in Oregon, Connecticut, and New York, and more recently she has led workshops at various venues in Maine. She is currently on the board of Blue Hill Heritage Trust, and is the exhibition coordinator for Art in the Cafe at Blue Hill Co-op. She is represented by Artemis Gallery, Elizabeth Moss Galleries, and the Turtle Gallery.
