The living area mural is by Susan Amons and hides a television while depicting what would be seen out the window,
if there were a window above the fireplace. The Seavers wanted child-friendly, easy-to-care-for furnishings. The couches are slipcovered, and the indoor/outdoor rug with a navy border can be hosed off. “We also wanted to add some natural elements,” says Sandler. “So we chose a reclaimed wood coffee table and throw pillows with jute fringe.”
