The screened porch was designed
to be strong enough and
large enough to serve as
a dance floor for the 50
people at the wedding
of one of the couple’s
daughters. The industrial
pendant was salvaged from
a shipyard. The ceiling is
tongue-and-groove knotty
pine with plywood on top
of it, so that the nail holes
are hidden.
