The homeowners, Brannon and Mandy Fisher, were more adventurous with color in the kitchen than elsewhere in the house. Here, they used an orange-red backsplash against neutrals that include the white of the Shaker-style cabinets, stainless-steel finishes, the slate gray on the island base, the gray of the concrete countertops, and the thick dark wood of the island top. The industrial stools and lights over the island are from CB2 and are in keeping with industrial touches elsewhere in the house.
