A Respectful Refresh
Ezra Howell of E.H. Fortner Woodworking crafted all of the kitchen cabinetry, including the island, which features a four-inchthick end-grain cherry butcher block. The piece was inspired by an antique working island homeowner and interior designer Debbie Chatfield found at an English auction house. The stools are by Windsor Chairmakers, the rag rug is from Sara Hotchkiss, and Debbie found the vintage 1950s wallpaper in New York City. The floors are remilled 100-year-old chestnut. A Joyce Tenneson print hangs on the wall.
