Interior designer Christine Maclin helped with the furniture in the living room, which came from Thomas’s previous home. A landscape by Laurie Hadlock sits over the fireplace and a painting by Connie Hayes next to the door. Brett Johnson recommended painting the red brick of the fireplace black. The rope knot doorstop was a gift from designer Linda Banks from her store, Simply Home. (And Max is the family’s 12-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer.)
