Dreamy Days at Wooster Farm

The back parlor includes a reproduction of Young Girl by a Window, a painting of Benson’s eldest daughter, Eleanor, probably posing by a window in this very room. The original is owned by the Georgia Museum of Art. Benson later used the mandarin coat that Eleanor is wearing as a drape in the still life The Silver Screen, a reproduction of which hangs over the mantel. The original is in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
